Best Friends Animal Clinic in Hanahan, SC is seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Manager to join our team!

Our 3-doctor practice is growing, with exciting renovations and plans for additional DVM growth. We’re looking for a dynamic and servant-minded leader passionate about developing strong teams and fostering an outstanding clinic culture.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative partner to the Medical Director and doctors, supporting day-to-day operations while overseeing administrative functions to optimize hospital efficiency. This role focuses on people leadership, developing team leaders, and ensuring smooth clinic operations while staying connected to daily activities.

Benefits and compensation :

Compensation : $52k-$65k / year
Bonus package : $2,000 (CVTs and CVPMs)
CE allowance : $500 first year, $1000 every year after (CVTs and CVPMs)

Key Responsibilities Include :

Financial and Operations Management

Monitor the financial performance of the hospital utilizing key metrics

Monitor and optimize hospital workflow

Inventory management, oversee supply orders / repairs

Use creative problem-solving to develop new and innovative ideas for hospital growth

Adjusts hospital flow, efficiency, scheduling, and pricing to maintain stability and growth

Client Engagement and Marketing

Oversee marketing needs to generate new clients and drive client retention

Resolve client concerns and disputes

People Management

Fosters a respectful workplace culture that supports and values diversity

Lead and develop a well-rounded team

Process bi-weekly payroll

Coordinate employee schedule

Address employee and client conflicts quickly and professionally

Coordinate regular team meetings and check-ins

Qualifications :

10 years of veterinary experience preferred

3 years of leadership and development success within a veterinary management role

Resilience and adeptness in handling emotionally charged situations.

Proficiency in budget management.

Strong computer literacy and adaptability to new systems.

Self-motivated with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving.

Capacity to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision.

Our dedicated team of three wonderful doctors offers a wide range of services, including surgery, wellness care, nutritional counseling, and more. Our clinic currently features three exam rooms, and with growth plans underway, we look forward to welcoming at least one additional DVM and expanding our exam room capacity to better support the needs of our community.
