What You’ll Be Working On

• Establish long-lasting relationships with clients, patients, and team members

• Perform general practice and patient intake

• Assist the veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures

• Take diagnostic radiographs

• Provide compassionate specialized care

• Take vital signs, draw blood, and gather medical history

• Administer medication and fluid doses as directed by a veterinarian

• Skilled venipuncture

• Intravenous catheter placement

• Properly care for and maintain the operating room, surgical materials, and inventory of medical supplies

• Perform laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis and treatment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required

• CVT license in the state of Oregon is highly preferred

• A minimum of one year of technician experience with general practice is required

• Skills in restraining, collecting history, drawing blood, monitoring patients under anesthesia,

and patient recovery are required

• Highly motivated, with a desire to learn and grow

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Experience:

• Veterinary Technician Experience: 1 year (Required)
• Venipuncture: 1 year (Required)
• IV insertion: 1 year (Preferred)
