Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
- Handle and restrain animals for treatments and diagnostics, utilizing proper techniques.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information.
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Educate pet owners on proper care and health maintenance for their animals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
- Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology
- Experience with animal catheterization and pet care
- Ability to assist in veterinary critical care and laboratory procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week
