Our busy Pet Resort is a growing, luxury provider of pet boarding, daycare, training and grooming services. We are looking for a hardworking and energetic individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for animals to join our team! We are hiring a full-time Pet Resort Assistant Manager to help lead our Pet Resort and assist in the day-to-day operations of the facility.
Must be available to work any shifts needed including 6:30am-1:00pm, 1:00pm-7:00pm. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Please do not apply if you can't meet this requirement.

The Pet Resort Assistant Manager is a leader and an integral member of the Pet Resort team. The Pet Resort Assistant Manager provides direction and support to a team of Customer Service Representatives and Pet Resort Attendants to ensure that clients consistently receive the best possible service.
Our vision is to provide a superior experience for every pet upon arrival, to offer love and care to the pets in their owners’ absence, engage them in meaningful play and return them to our clients in a better state than that in which they arrived.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the daily operation of the Pet Resort and acting in place of the Facility Manager in their absence; managing operations to provide and maintain standards of conduct, cleanliness, and safety
Supervision of an average of 15-25 team members
Supervises, trains, and coaches Pet Resort team members based on company standards and training guidelines
Responsibilities include training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems; promotion and termination input
Managing team member duties and overseeing facility operations and maintenance
Communicate with team members, clients, and colleagues in an organized, thorough and professional manner
Facilitating client communications and interactions as may be required
Provide excellent customer service and pet care
Upholds accountability standards
Ensures all bookings are accurate to maximize capacity
Responsible for increasing services and revenue
Management of inventory, supplies, and budgeting of expenses
Promote and enforce policies and procedures
Management and conflict resolution duties
Performs team member duties as necessary to maintain Resort operations
Qualifications:
Must have strong management/leadership, people, communication and organizational skills; work with minimal supervision
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment
Innovative, creative, goal oriented
Enjoy working with pets and people in a collaborative, team environment
Reliable and flexible to Resort needs
Flexible schedule; must be able to work 10 hour days, some weekends, some nights and holidays and be on call
Energetic, caring and passionate about animals
Excellent pet handling skills and ability to manage cats and dogs of all sizes
Attention to detail and ability to observe animal behaviors on a daily basis
Pet related experience required
Previous management experience in pet boarding, hospitality, food service or retail a plus
Positive, upbeat personality with ability to motivate others
Compassion towards people and pets
Exceptional client service skills

Professional appearance and demeanor
Demonstrate professional and courteous presentation with team members and clients
Must meet daily physical demands of position as this requires moving constantly for up to 10 hours per work day
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
