Are you a dog lover who thrives in a fast-paced, fun environment? As an ACC Specialist Handler, you'll be in charge of keeping our furry guests safe, happy, and healthy! From supervising playtime and cleaning the facility to administering meds and ensuring top-notch care, every day will be an adventure. You'll work closely with a team to provide individualized attention to dogs of all kinds and help them thrive during their stay. Plus, you’ll play a key role in training new staff and making sure each dog has the best experience!
*This position involves caring for senior and special needs dogs. Veterinary Technician/Assistant experience highly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keep play areas clean and safe, ensuring dogs are happy and healthy
- Monitor dog behavior, providing basic obedience and positive reinforcement
- Administer medication and assist with special needs dogs
- Lead enrichment activities, one-on-ones, and private walks
- Help train new team members and support senior dogs
- Keep accurate records and report any concerns
- Maintain a high-energy, positive attitude and deliver top-notch customer service
