Best Home Furnishing is seeking qualified individuals for the Gerber Cutter Operator. Normal shift days are Monday – Friday. Some overtime required.
Job Summary: Cut fabric into parts using automated Gerber Cutting machine.
Essential functions of the job include the following:
- Lifts rolls from cart, carries roll to table, and place fabric on roll holder.
- Layout fabric on table to length based on patter specifications.
- Set up and operate automated cutting machine to cut fabric.
- Enter commands in computer console to retrieve preprogramming cutting instructions and start machine.
- Remove cut piles from table and sort onto cardboard, then place to cart for subsequent production use.
- Other duties as assigned
Job requirements:
- Repetitive pulling, pinching and gripping with both hands
- Maintain consistent work pace.
- Able to work scheduled hours on a regular basis, which could include overtime
- Ability to work within a team
- Adhere to quality standards and safety practices as defined in the work instructions.
- Rotate on a weekly basis between laying out fabric and operating automated cutter.
