Position: Part-time English or Math Teacher

Best In Class center in Issaquah, Washington is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our diverse Center team as an English or math teacher! We will provide you training needed to perform your job.
Responsibilities
- Tutor a small group of 3 - 6 students in English. Student levels range from pre-K to 11th grade
- Each class you teach is 75 minutes that includes (1) 15-minute test of previous week’s concepts at the beginning of the class, (2) 45 minutes of teaching of the new concepts, and (3) 15-minute for going over mistakes in the weekly test and homework
- Teaching and actively interacting with students during class time
- Marking students’ completion of work in student record files
- Monitoring students’ academic progress
- Communicating with Center Manager on any student or classroom issue that needs to be addressed
- Teaching materials and curriculum are provided
Requirements
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior college student or college graduate
- Enjoy working with school age children in a small group setting
- Ability to follow teaching guidelines and work as a team member
- Can independently teach a small group of children on his/her own
- Ability to treat students in a caring manner
Work Schedule
- Weekday shifts from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Weekend shifts from 2:00AM to 6:00PM
- Position available to teach three days per week currently with the option of teaching 4 or 5 per week in the future if the candidate chooses to
Hourly Pay Rate
- Starting pay $25 to $33 an hour depending on experience
