About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Java Software Developer SME with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to support a high-impact government program. This role demands a deep understanding of systems engineering, software development, cloud technologies, and agile methodologies. You will play a pivotal role in the full software development lifecycle, from scope and design to development, testing, and deployment, within a DevOps framework. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering secure and scalable software solutions.
Responsibilities
Participate in software programming initiatives using Java, JavaScript, Python, SpringBoot, Hibernate, and Angular
Design, develop, and integrate custom software solutions with automated deployment technologies
Develop and execute software validation and testing using tools like JUnit and Katalon
Support the deployment and operation of solutions within commercial cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
Collaborate closely with team members, product owners, and scrum masters to align development with user stories and mission requirements
Analyze and optimize infrastructure needs based on software performance and mission goals
Contribute to the agile software development lifecycle using SAFe methodologies
Utilize DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix Bash scripting for CI/CD pipelines
Document and manage build artifacts across development, staging, and production environments
Use GitFlow and Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence for version control, issue tracking, and documentation
Apply best practices, standard operating procedures, and innovative approaches to meet technical challenges
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Master’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience, or Doctorate degree with 13 years of relevant experience
Expert in Agile practices, service-oriented architectures, and the full software development lifecycle
Expert in Java, JavaScript, Angular, and DevOps tools and processes
Experience with software testing tools like JUnit
Proficient in scripting languages including Python and Bash
Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure
Familiarity with cloud-based data services such as S3, RDS, and EFS
Strong communication skills and experience with collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
Proficient in using version control systems and issue tracking systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS data management services including Elastic MapReduce, Lambda, and Kinesis
Familiarity with secure application development practices and frameworks
