What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Support Specialist position at Best Point Education & Behavioral Health?
Grade Level: 7-12th grade
Best Point is seeking an individual that works collaboratively with the student’s educational team in the development and implementation of intervention strategies for the classroom and school environment. The Behavior Support Specialist also is to provide back-up classroom support, and crisis support to the classrooms. The Behavior Support Specialist supports Principals and Associate Principals with the implementation of the Teaching Family Model within the classrooms daily. The Behavior Support Specialist is an expert in TFM Teaching Procedures and provides proactive supports to students and staff.
Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, (or equivalent combination of education and 3 years’ experience). Requires 3 years as a TFM Certified practitioner, and identified as an “expert” in extended teaching and other TFM elements. Must possess minimum technical skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications.
