School-Age Resource Coordinator

Location: Clifton Area Neighborhood Schools (CANS)
Definition and Primary Objective: The Resource Coordinator supports the Cincinnati Public Schools district-wide community learning center initiative of creating schools as centers of community. In this role, the Resource Coordinator develops and promotes the wisest use of community resources in response to student, family, and community needs. In support of school leadership, the Resource Coordinator will initiate, facilitate, and maintain programs and strategies that are aligned with the school’s One Plan, as well as youth and community development goals. By enhancing community and individual assets, meeting critical human service needs, and promoting long-term community solutions the Resource Coordinator promotes optimal impact on the school and its community.

Reports to: Early Care and Education Manager

Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associates degree in related field from an accredited college or university; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Will accept education and work experience that meets requirements for Career Pathways Level (CPL) 4 as outlined by Ohio’s Early Childhood Professional Development Network
- Minimum of 2 years experience in human services field required, working in a school environment preferred.
- Must have the ability to work with a diverse population and build productive relationships.
- Must be flexible in work schedule and have strong communication, networking and organizational skills.
- Must possess minimum technical skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications.
- Good organization/planning, team building, verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Work Environment: Located within a Cincinnati Public School Building. Work duties are performed in office, school, and neighborhood environments, which may include unfamiliar areas of town. Typical schedule is 40 hours per week on an academic calendar (August – June) with reduction to 20 hours per week during summer break. Position may require additional hours periodically, including evening and weekends depending on business needs. May be exposed to children with behavior problems, which could include shouting and children/families who may be verbally and physically aggressive. May be exposed to blood or vomit and bodily fluids and unclean environments.
