Job Summary: As a Dozer Operator at Best Sand and Gravel, you will play a key role in site preparation and grading operations. Using your expertise in heavy equipment, you will operate bulldozers to move earth, level surfaces, and ensure accurate site grading for construction and development projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate bulldozers to cut, fill, and level terrain as per project specifications.
- Read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, and survey stakes to execute accurate site grading.
- Perform pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure the machinery is in optimal condition.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and industry regulations while operating heavy equipment.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to achieve project objectives within deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations and equipment usage.
- Perform minor maintenance or troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dozer Operator or in heavy equipment operation in a construction or grading setting.
- Familiarity with GPS and laser-guided grading systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to read and follow grading plans and instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
