Agricultural Lab Technician

Job Summary

We are hiring a Seasonal Agricultural Lab Technician to join our agricultural lab. This position plays an essential role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our lab work. The primary duties include weighing samples and verifying that samples are logged correctly. You’ll also assist with general lab duties as needed.

This is a seasonal position with variable hours throughout the year, based on workload and the growing season.

Responsibilities

• Weigh soil samples with precision using lab equipment
• Verify that each sample has been logged correctly in our tracking system
• Assist with general lab maintenance and organization
• Perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy
• Follow lab protocols and safety procedures
• Collaborate with lab team members to meet daily goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and routine workflows
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous lab experience is helpful but not required

Work Schedule

This is a seasonal position with hours varying by month:

• March: ~60 hours/week
• April – May: ~30 hours/week
• June – October: ~40 hours/week
• November: ~30 hours/week
• December – February: ~10 hours/week

Start times may be as early as 3:00 AM, with most shifts beginning between 5:00–6:00 AM, depending on the workload for the day. Flexibility is important due to the nature of the work.
