What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pick and Pack Lead position at Best Way Distribution LLC?
Assist supervisor in managing day to day operations in the Pick and Pack department.
Daily operations include:
Assist Supervisor in managing a team to ensure orders for all clients located in Pick and Pack and its project area, are picked, packed, and shipped by the expected ship day.
Assign side work to Pick and Pack Warehouse Associates to ensure Pick and Pack is kept clean and ready for the proceeding work day or future projects. Assist with completion of side work. Such side work can include: Cleaning trash on the ground Pack stations are kept tidy Boxes and other supplies needed to pack orders at pack stations are restocked and ready for the following work day Scan guns are returned to their designated charging stations Dock doors 1-5 and personnel doors in specified area are closed and locked up at the end of the day Heavy Machinery is returned to its designated area and plugged into charge if necessary. Lights in the project area are turned off
Returns or Inbounds for customers located in the Pick and Pack department are received within 2 business days upon getting notified they are in the respected area.
Pick and Pack supervisor/lead is only responsible for responding to tickets assigned to Pick and Pack in FreshDesk.
Should a problem arise with fulfilling an order a ticket must be made to the corresponding C.S.R. of the client to try and resolve the issue and get the order shipped out in a timely manner.
Any orders unable to be shipped out of Best Way Distribution by its expected ship date need to be brought to the attention of the corresponding C.S.R. and the Operations Manager
If any small parcel carriers fail to pick up orders staged on the dock the Operations and Strategic Accounts Manager need to be notified by the end of the work day of when the order is expected to ship out.
Ensure Pick and Pack Warehouse Associates wear proper work attire and wear a safety vest when walking through the warehouse.
