Job Summary
The hotel front office manager supports the general manager in the daily operation of the hotel, specifically overseeing the housekeeping and front desk operations. Maintaining the standards ofJNRManagement, and Best Western Hotels, to ensure a welcoming and pleasant guest experience, clean guest rooms, and well maintained public space. Work with the general manager to focus on areas of opportunity related to operational efficiency, improving the guest experience, and improving hotel revenues and profitability.
This position will also work as the hotel's Operations Manager, having responsibilities inensuringthat the housekeeping department is operating efficiently. TheFOM/OM will be groomed towards becoming a General Manager atJNRManagement Inc.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively
- Work with departments to improve operational efficiency
- Identify areas of opportunity and work with GM to improve hotel operations
- Ensure brand standards for Best Western
- Prepare team for Quality Assessment readiness
- Convey message and directions with clarity
- Report employee issues immediately
- Assist with coaching and counseling and disciplinary action in conjunction with the General Manager
- Maintain confidentiality in all cases regarding employee issues, performance, and human resources related information
- Prepare employee documentation and conduct employee warnings as needed or directed by the General Manager.
- Ensure inventories are conducted for front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, market
- Cover shifts as needed for all departments
- Ensure the hotel is staffed for business demands
- Ensure proper billing and invoicing of guests
- Work with general manager to ensure a smooth and efficient group business process
- Attend weekly revenue call
- Ensure the cleanliness standards are met for bothJNRManagement and Best Western Hotels
- Work with Front Desk to consistently deliver an exceptional guest experience
- Complete other assignments and duties assigned by the General Manager or corporate office.
Must have previous upscale brand experience in a management role (BW, Marriott,IHG, Hilton preferred)
2-5 years of previous management experience preferred, managing teams, deadlines, and action items
Previous Front Office and Housekeeping experience required
Work hours related to the business demands of the hotel
Cover shifts as needed
