Job Summary:
Best Western North Phoenix is seeking a hardworking and reliable Houseman to support our housekeeping and maintenance teams. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of public areas, assisting with room turnover, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all public areas, including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Empty and replace garbage bins throughout the hotel.
- Assist housekeeping by stripping linens from guest rooms and delivering them to laundry.
- Mop, dust, and perform general cleaning duties as needed.
- Help with moving and lifting furniture, supplies, and other heavy items (up to 80 lbs).
- Put away breakfast items and assist in maintaining cleanliness in the breakfast area.
- Break down and dispose of boxes and packaging materials properly.
- Respond to guest and staff requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all tasks are completed according to hotel cleanliness and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to 80 lbs).
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is a plus.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
