Summary/Objective
To supervise the maintenance operations and physical condition of the hotel to ensure highest standards of guest satisfaction within allotted budget.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provide maintenance status and inspection reports to Department heads/General Manager.
· Must provide immediate follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause; determine emergency status and report to Guest Services and General Manager with findings.
· Oversee the maintenance tasks, work orders and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion.
· Respond to guest’s maintenance needs promptly and ensure guests receive professional, efficient, prompt, and courteous service to hotels standards.
· Hands on daily supervision of the Maintenance Department including training and coaching staff.
· Perform daily and weekly property document inspections.
· Take responsibilities for the cleanliness and safety aspects of all mechanical equipment and storage rooms.
· Ensure that proper records are kept relating to all equipment for the hotel including repair and service records.
· Presenting recommendations for property improvements to the General Manager.
· Communicates verbally and in writing with all levels of employees.
· Develops and maintains an ongoing maintenance operation for hotel, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance, hotel rooms, air/heating units, ice machines, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generator, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc.
· Oversees compliance with OSHA standards regarding proper usage, dilution of products, equipment safety and usage as well as blood-borne pathogen precautions and procedures.
· Ensure maintenance staff is wearing proper uniforms with name tag and upholds hotels grooming and hygiene standards.
· Prepare reports as required by the Director of Housekeeping and General Manager.
· Negotiates contracts with vendors and clients to ensure the most cost-effective means of reaching the customer’s needs.

Work environment
· Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
· Standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, and working in small spaces at times.
· Time is divided between the office and onsite supervision.
· Must be able to work in hazardous conditions with an attention to maintaining safety standards.

Pay: From $22.50 per hour
