Job Overview: As the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring excellence in guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, finances, team building, and staff development. You will be responsible for driving the hotel's success through effective management in sales and marketing, human resources, food and beverage, and budgeting/forecasting. Your leadership will empower associates to provide superior care to our guests, associates, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, select, train, and manage employees to deliver top-notch guest services and quality products, maximizing revenue and profitability.
- Create and maintain a customer-driven operation, empowering hotel staff to excel in customer care.
- Develop, recommend, implement, and manage the hotel's annual budget and long-term business plan, achieving budgeted sales and maximum profitability.
- Create and innovate programs in response to market conditions and revenue opportunities.
- Protect the hotel’s financial assets by properly administering policies and procedures for handling cash, credit cards, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and all other financial transactions. Ensure policies for guest and employee safety are upheld.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of all hotel personnel, coordinating internal training and development programs.
- Maintain high personal visibility throughout the property and the community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three years of hotel management or supervisory experience.
- In-depth knowledge of local competition and industry trends.
- Strong leadership qualities and a professional image.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Superior decision-making and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in various computer software applications.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
