Summary
The Best Western Plus ClockTower Inn is seeking an experienced maintenance tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will be someone who can help ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining the operational efficiency of equipment and aesthetic beauty of the hotel and restaurant property. A successful candidate will be a detail oriented, hands-on, working on interior & exterior maintenance projects. We need someone who has a good general knowledge of general construction practices including but not limited to basic Plumbing, Electrical, Sheetrock repair, Roof repair, and general maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and exterior spaces to maintain hotel standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including PTAC units, thermostats, and filters.
- Basic plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and maintaining water systems.
- Basic electrical work, including replacing light fixtures, outlets, and switches.
- Repair and maintain walls, ceilings, and floors, including drywall patching, caulking, painting, and installing LVT or carpet.
- Ensure kitchen and laundry equipment are properly maintained and operational.
- Maintain pool chemicals and equipment to meet health and safety regulations.
- Use and maintain power tools and hand tools efficiently and safely.
- Keep accurate maintenance logs, inventory records, and work order documentation using a smartphone and computer.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Availability to work weekends.
- Must be able to work evenings
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Clean driving record for the past 7 years (no major violations such as DUIs or reckless driving).
- Ability to drive the hotel shuttle van as needed.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- Strong background in general maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required (can get within first 6 months of starting).
