We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our leadership team and help drive the continued success of our property.
Position Overview:
The Assistant General Manager plays a key leadership role by supporting the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel. The AGM ensures that all departments are operating efficiently, that guest satisfaction remains high, and that brand standards are upheld. This is a hands-on role with a focus on both strategic leadership and daily team support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food service
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) during scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Lead and support department heads to ensure staff are motivated and trained effectively
- Uphold Best Western brand standards and property procedures
- Handle guest issues and complaints with professionalism and urgency
- Monitor hotel performance metrics (occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, guest satisfaction scores)
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews of team members
- Help manage budgets, labor costs, and operational expenses
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and brand regulations
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and corporate teams on initiatives to drive business
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of hotel leadership experience required
- Prior experience with Best Western systems is a plus
- Strong understanding of hotel operations and guest service principles
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality or related field preferred
