Job Summary
As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for auditing, balancing, and reporting on the hotel’s financial activities, including food and beverage, rooms, and other operational areas. You will also assist guests, process transactions, and ensure the smooth operation of the front desk during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and reconcile front office accounting records for accuracy.
- Track room revenue, occupancy percentages, and operational statistics.
- Prepare and summarize daily financial reports, including cash, check, and credit card transactions.
- Post room charges, taxes, and process guest payments.
- Verify and balance all accounts and financial postings.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests during check-in and check-out.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and reservations.
- Perform front desk duties, including answering phones and assisting with late-night guest needs.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting background preferred.
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to compile financial data accurately.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in front desk operations, including computer systems and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and handle overnight responsibilities efficiently.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays.
