Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a hands-on approach to maintenance tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
- Supervise and lead maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and safely.
- Fabricate parts as needed to support repairs or modifications.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Conduct residential painting tasks as required to maintain facility aesthetics.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong emphasis on mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience in welding is preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
- Ability to read and understand schematics for various systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in residential painting is a plus.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
