OH complex Best Western Plus Oak Harbor Hotel and Candlewood Suites in Oak Harbor, WA is looking for one maintenance person to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Regularly inspect and maintain hotel facilities and equipment, including HVAC systems, Generator Systems, Plumbing, Electrical Systems, Pool and Hot Tub Maintenace and more.
- Perform necessary repairs to ensure the smooth operation of hotel facilities. This can include fixing faulty appliances, plumbing issues, and electrical problems.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to hotel facilities and equipment.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to avoid future issues, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment.
- Ensure compliance with hotel safety and security protocols.
- Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance and repair work.
Qualifications
- Performing regular inspections and preventive maintenance on systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building structures. Knowledge of general Maintenace processes and methods, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Problem solving, addressing and fixing any maintenance issues that arise, including plumbing leaks, electrical problems, and broken fixtures.
- Able to lift 50lbs,
- Ensuring that all safety systems, such as fire alarms and emergency exits, are in working order.
- Responding to guest room maintenance requests, such as fixing air conditioning units, replacing light bulbs, and repairing appliances.
- Keeping an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment and ensuring they are good working condition.
- Customer Service, courteous and professional demeanor when dealing with guests.
- Working with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to address maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhering to all local and state building codes, safety regulations, and hotel policies.
- Adhering to Franchise maintenance programs.
Experience and Education:
- Typically, 2-3 years of experience in related field, such as facility maintenance, plumbing, or electrical work
- A High School Diploma required and/or Vocational training in a relevant field can be beneficial.
