Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is vital to the overall success of our food service operations, supporting both the front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

Duties

• Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
• Assist with the organization of clean dishes and ensure they are stored properly.
• Help with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or assembling ingredients for cooks.
• Support catering events by ensuring all necessary items are cleaned and ready for service.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods, including assisting with bussing tables when necessary.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a sanitary environment in compliance with food service regulations.

Skills

• Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment is an asset.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
