We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and professionalism of our hotel environment, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder hotel linens and guest clothing.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for delicate fabrics or specialty items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when restocking is necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundry equipment operation and maintenance is a plus.
- Knowledge of proper laundering techniques for various fabrics including dry cleaning processes.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
