Primary Job Function: The Breakfast Attendant will be responsible for set-up in the breakfast area, preparing food and beverage items, maintaining food and beverage supply throughout breakfast hours, cleaning up all while providing an efficient breakfast experience for the guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet each and every guest as they enter the breakfast area
· Prepare food and beverage as directed
· Monitor chafing dishes and trays to ensure the appropriate amount of food is available
· Monitor tables for dirty dishes
· Clean and service assigned areas (wash dishes, clean equipment, wipe down countertops, tidy kitchen area, remove garbage, wipe down tables/chairs/highchairs, mop floors)
· Replenish coffee stations along with creamers, sugars, milk, stirs, napkins, cups, etc.
· Inform General Manager when inventory is low on food, beverage or other items
· Wear safety protection equipment as needed and as provided to keep in line with department policies and any local legislative health requirements
· Document and report to supervisor if any of the equipment is in need of repair or damage has been done
· Follow established safety and health procedures at all times
· Respond to guest complaints, special requests and take action to ensure guest satisfaction
· Monitor and control supplies to minimize waste within all areas of the department
· Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
· May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects
· May assist with other duties as assigned
Management Contributions for Success:
· Providing training on the brand standard way of preparing breakfast
· Provide feedback throughout training process
· Assist with any training that may be required to enhance job performance
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Basic reading, writing and math skills
This job requires the ability to perform the following:
· Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to push and pull
· Prolonged standing and moving about the hotel
· Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
· Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling
· Able to work alone as well as being a team member
· Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 per hour
