What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn?
SUMMARY: Clean guest rooms, halls and administrative offices of the hotel under the direction of the head housekeeper. Housekeeper assignments are determined daily and are subject to change as business dictates. The responsibility of every housekeeper is to complete shift assignments in a professional and timely manner in accordance with Pacific Plaza Hotels, Inc. standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Change and make beds in accordance with hotel policy.
2. Clean bathrooms to include all bathroom fixtures such as toilet, shower, bathtub and sinks.
3. Replenish bathroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap and towels.
4. Replenish guest room supplies such as drinking glasses, coffee supplies, toiletry amenities and writing supplies.
5. Sweep, scrub, wax and polish floors.
6. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies.
7. Dust furniture.
8. Empty wastebaskets.
9. Empty and clean ashtrays.
10. Push housekeeping cart carrying supplies used to clean.
11. Move and arrange furniture.
12. Render personal assistance to guests.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
2. Clean lobbies, lounge, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways.
3. Sort, count, fold, mark, and carry linen.
4. Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
5. Wash windows, door panels and sills.
