What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Best Western?
We are currently looking to expand our team of housekeepers. Looking for a new opportunity in the hospitality industry? Do you enjoy cleaning? Housekeeping gives the Hotels that WOW factor by delivering a great guest experience with a clean and spotless guestroom prepared for each guest.
Main duties and responsibilities for the position include:
Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash/rubbish, etc. May include cleaning of room refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, microwave, etc.
Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements
Greet and acknowledge guests whenever you are approached or pass in hallways, public areas, etc.
Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied. Report any room unable to be serviced to supervisor according to established procedures
Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions in guestrooms and hotel areas immediately to supervisor
Follow established safety procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty
Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures
Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
Regularly assist with deep cleaning projects
The job requires the ability to perform the following:
Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling
Able to work alone as well as being a team member
Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays based on Hotel business demands
MUST have reliable transportation. Typically hours for position are 830am - 4:30pm daily, inclusive of weekends.

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
