Job description
BEST Inc is looking for a solder trainer located in Chicago looking to grow our next instructor. This is a growth position opening is for an instructor position located in the Midwest who is willing to travel to our Michigan and Rolling Meadows locations when required.
If you enjoy teaching adult learners, working on your own, schedule flexibility, visiting and learning about tech companies this may be a fit for you. BEST is willing to provide additional training and certifications required for new employees. If you have a background in electronics manufacturing, cable assembly or are a military-trained 2M instructor please send us your resume. You will be traveling about 60% of the time by air or car after the training period.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Delivery of soldering, wire harness assembly and PCB assembly or inspection class material
- Setup and manage training classrooms for your class as needed
- Maintain knowledge and proficiency in certifications held
- Deliver technical information and skills in easy-to-understand formats and examples
- Interact with adult learners (customers)
Qualifications and Skills
- A desire for teaching adult learners
- Willingness to learn new concepts including hand soldering skills, specifications, wire harness assembly and SMT assembly
- Background in PCB rework/repair, wire harness assembly or electronics manufacturing
- 2M instructor background a plus
- Bilingual Spanish speaking a plus
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
