Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process vendor invoices and payments, ensure timely billing and collections, and resolve discrepancies.
- Inventory Accounting: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and assist in periodic physical inventory counts.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other analyses as required.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of sales tax filings and other regulatory reports.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in wholesale, distribution, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or progress toward certification.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with state tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Salary : $68,000 - $72,000
