Beswick’s & Co. is a modern all day cafe and bakery freshly preparing delicious luxury all day brunch items, artisan sandwiches/toasties, salads, homemade baked goods, pastries, speciality coffees & beverages and gelato. B & Co. provides wholesome, nourishing & delicious food made with a Florida influence yet rooted and inspired by the sister’s / owners British heritage.

We are looking for candidates who have experience in the hospitality industry, who preferably have barista experience and experience working a POS system (Toast preferred), who are available to take shifts Monday 7:50AM - 4:10PM, Wednesday 1:30 - 4:10pm, Saturdays 7:50AM - 4:30PM and take shifts other days when available and importantly are available at all times over the holiday period.
Job Overview
The role we are currently taking applications for is a front of house Barista / Cashier position. However, your role will be flexible, sharing responsibilities and duties with the other B & Co. employees, working together and multitasking. First impressions are everything and we expect all of our guests to receive the highest level of customer service. You will be expected to carry out your duties and serve guests with a helpful, positive and friendly attitude at all times. You will be expected to maintain an immaculate and organized working environment and always comply with the strictest food hygiene standards. Responsibilities & Duties
- Greet guests.
- Take guests orders and payment using our EPOS system ensuring all transactions are accurate and complete.
- Promptly answer guests questions and make recommendations.
- Use our espresso machine, blenders etc to prepare and serve specialty hot and cold beverage items accurately and to the highest level of quality every time.
- Restock and serve bakery items.
- Carry out designated cleaning duties and work as a team to complete opening and closing schedules.
- Complete inventory stock sheets and accurately report stock levels.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen pass to guests and ensure this system is seamless, efficient and accurate.
- You are required to have an in depth knowledge of the menu and the allergens in all food and drink items on offer and communicate these clearly and accurately to customers.
This role includes but is not limited to the above responsibilities and duties, you must be flexible and carry out all necessary tasks for a FOH role as instructed by your FOH manager.
Qualifications & Skills
- Work authorization and excellent command of the English language.
- Barista trained with latte art skill is preferred.
- Its preferred you have experience as a barista in a hospitality environment i.e. restaurant, café or hotel.
- High School Diploma.
- Basic math skills.
- Experience with an EPOS system is preferred but not mandatory. Toast is the system used at Beswick’s & Co..
- Food Hygiene & Safety Training course certificate is preferable; but this can be completed upon the employee commencing work at Beswick’s & Co.
- Good time keeping & organizational skills.
- Friendly, positive and outgoing personality.
- Excellent communication, customer service & interpersonal skills.
- Confident and enthusiastic to deliver excellent customer service.
- Flexible both in the duties you carry out and with your working hours.
- Professional attire and appearance in keeping with Beswick’s & Co. standards.
- Able to lift and carry heavy bags/boxes and carry short distances.
- Understand hazards that include but are not limited to cuts, burns, slips, trips and falls.
- Able to reach overhead, bend, stoop and wipe.
- Have an eagerness to learn and the ability to learn quickly.
- Able to be on their feet for long hours of the day.

Pay
$11 / hour tips (tips are pooled & shared amongst all employees based on hours worked) Tips can take the hourly wage up to $17 an hour
