Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This position requires a proactive individual with strong observational skills and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems including CCTV to detect and respond to suspicious activities.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage.
- Manage conflicts effectively, de-escalating situations when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when required for investigations or emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and procedures at all times.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
- Assist in training new security personnel on protocols and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.
- A valid security certificate is a plus but not required.
