OVERVIEW:

Manager of Commissioning & Integration services. Supervises and directs work assignments of employees and/or sub partners engaged in the installation, maintenance, integration, commissioning, call testing and repair radio access nodes and/or core network transmission equipment on operational telecommunications networks. Responsible for managing budgets, project timelines, goals, internal staff and external vendors in accordance with existing contract terms and conditions. Accountable for achieving project milestones and revenue for all assigned projects. Manages commissioning and integration employees/sub partners through numerous project milestones to project completion and in compliance with established processes and policies established by the company, the client, and regulatory agencies. Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management. The position reports to the Director for the geographic area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage large scale projects that cover multiple markets.
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Oversee the activity associated with projects.
  • Interface with clients and management on a daily basis as to the status of these projects.
  • Ensure workflow is being achieved and milestones are being reached in a timely fashion.
  • Provide management direction, supervision and leadership for the Project Team. Ensure the successful completion of all project deliverables, and contract compliance.
  • Create and maintain strong Client relations and communication.
  • Interpret contracts, communicate scope of work to project team and develop schedule and budget forecasts.
  • Conduct Weekly meetings with project staff to review individual site progress; Oversee project tracking and documentation.
  • Maintain proper communications and relations with project personnel; coordinate resources and ensure the team has competent personnel to accomplish their respective duties.
  • Establish, manage and control budget.
  • Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
    • Ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
    • Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
    • Mentors and properly trains project teams in all aspects relevant to their tasks assigned.
      • Supervise crews to ensure top quality workmanship.
      • Maintaining job records for use in supervision or control.
      • Planning the work. Determining the techniques to be used.
      • Apportioning the work among the employees and/or sub partners.
      • Determining the type of materials, supplies, machinery, equipment or tools to be used.
      • Controlling the flow and distribution of materials and supplies.
      • Providing for the safety and security of the employees, sub partners or the property.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Manages range of subordinates. This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
  • Interviewing, selecting, and training of employees and sub partners.
  • Appraising employees’ productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status.
  • Handling employee and/or sub partner complaints and grievances; disciplining employees.
  • Monitoring or implementing legal compliance measures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience in managing employees – hiring, terminating, completing performance reviews, allocating work, setting schedules, training, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of Wireless Industry including Construction Management particularly BTS Commissioning and Integration.
  • Be fully knowledgeable on project status at all times.
  • Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office. Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet navigation and e-mail usage required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality *essential*
  • Ability to interact, in a respectful manner and present information to clients, sub partners, consultants, property owners and staff.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to read construction documents (CD’s) and interpret RF data sheets (CIQ, RFDS, SDCO etc.) into construction related activities.
  • Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree or equivalent Management experience in the Wireless Industry
  • 3-7 years' experience and In-depth knowledge of Cell Site Commissioning and integration.
  • Ericsson C&I Certification
  • Nokia C&I Certification
  • Strong working knowledge of RF wireless technologies and products.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Windows products and databases.
  • Working knowledge of vendor EMS.
  • OSHA 10 certified preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certified preferred
  • Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License (a must) and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be able to accommodate 25% travel.
  • Must be able to work different shifts (day and/or night shift).
