BetaNXT is seeking a Senior Security Engineer. This role ensures that adequate and effective security processes, controls, and life cycles are followed to deliver network, cloud, and application security best practices to follow BetaNXT security policy and regulatory requirements. This candidate will support the information security program, establish assessments, and manage and track risk mitigation/remediation activities.
Additionally, this candidate will support the development and implementation of company-wide security awareness and compliance efforts by providing guidance to developers, other architects, and organization members. They will also lead continuous development and enhancements of shared application frameworks while acting as an advanced collaborator with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to develop, monitor, and tune security controls to support BetaNXT’s commitment to Zero Trust Architecture.
This role reports to the Chief Information Security Officer.
Key Activities:
- · Participates in the development and implementation of information security policies and procedures; develops security guidelines and safe practices for company-wide computing and networking systems
- · Demonstrate experience with cloud services and understand the pitfalls and potential security problems with traditional cloud deployments.
- · Ensure both preventative and detective security controls in the cloud environments.
- · Coordinates the handling and resolution of security breach incidents, including system intrusions and abuse; acts as a primary point of contact.
- · Assist with defining cloud security standards in a multi-cloud environment.
- · Respond to and evaluate alerts and events from security tools.
- · Perform threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and system audit reviews.
- · Provide expert advice on risk assessment, threat modeling, and fixing vulnerabilities.
- · Design, implement, and support security-focused tools and services.
