Job Title : Cloud Security Engineer
Full Time with Base salary plus benefits
Remote - USA
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our innovative cloud services team. This position is 100% remote and will focus on cloud security engineering and design across a multi-account multi-environment enterprise cloud offering. The cloud security engineer will work as part of an enterprise cloud services team and will utilize knowledge of cloud security, cloud technologies, and current cloud trends to develop enterprise solutions. The cloud security engineer's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Configure and implement security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure), including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, firewall configurations, etc.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) and internal security standards. Support internal and external audits related to cloud security.
- Perform cloud security assessments to identify and remediate potential risks in cloud infrastructure.
- Implement and security policies, procedures, and guidelines for cloud environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate security best practices.
- Identify and address security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats in the cloud environment
- Assist with ensuring compliance with Federal Government security mandates and directives (e.g. OMB, CISA, HIPAA)
- Assist in implementing automated cloud security controls and real-time monitoring solutions to detect and respond to threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist with establishing or evolving cloud best practices
- Effectively communicate complicated cloud reports to leadership and IT partners
- Staying current with emerging trends and advancements in cloud technologies and platforms.
