What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Associate position at Bethania Cemetery?
Bethania Cemetery is one of Chicago-lands oldest and most prestigious cemeteries located in the southwest suburbs, which has been faithfully serving families since the 1800's.
We are currently seeking a part time office associate to work Monday/Tuesdays/Friday 9AM until 4:30PM. Some Saturdays may be required (8AM-1PM).
Responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative and clerical support to office staff to run office efficiently.
- Perform word processing of records and prepare necessary reports and other documents.
- Manage and enter data to existing databases, spreadsheets and generate required reports on demand.
- Organize and maintain files and perform accurate cross-index filing system.
- Coordinate paperwork and information flow in office.
- Greet visitors in a professional manner.
- Provide visitors with information and direct them accordingly.
- Answer phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate party.
Qualifications for Office Assistant
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, associate's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in an office setting, preferably in an administrative or clerical role.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office) and ability to operate general office equipment
