What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher Aide Teacher position at Bethania Preschool & Afterschool?
Responsibilities:
-Greet children and parents as they arrive in the classroom, acknowledge their exit at the end of the day
- Implement teachers lesson plans and support the daily classroom schedule
- Ensure the wellbeing and safety of the children at all times, never leave children unsupervised.
-Assume housekeeping responsibilities such as dusting, sweeping, mopping and in general keeping the classroom neat and inviting.
- Assist in cleaning up after snack and lunch and projects
-Assist in taking the children to the bathroom and help wash hands during the day
-Report any accidents or injuries tor suspicion of child abuse
-Establish a positive liaison with staff, children and parents
- Support each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities.
Experience Preferred Not required:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
