Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of Bethanna. This role oversees Program Revenue Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable processing and Payroll processing as well as ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory controls. The Accounting Manager works primarily with the Controller to support the organization’s mission and strategic goals, providing critical financial insights and leadership.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
MBA & CPA preferred but not required.
· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a non-profit environment.
· Demonstrated experience with complex charts of accounts and advanced accounting software.
· Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
· Proven skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software such as QuickBooks and Expensify.
· Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
· Ability to communicate financial information to a variety of stakeholders with differing skill levels.
· Experience managing government grants and ensuring compliance with regulations.
