SUMMARY:
An Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Behavioral Health Technician provides individual services to the child/youth consistent with attaining the goals of the Individual Resiliency Plan, including the implementation, modeling and coaching of identified interventions in order to promote crisis stabilization and supporting the child/youth, caregiver and other team members with challenging behaviors they are experiencing across settings.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
An IBHS Behavioral Health Technician must have one of the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and forty hours of training covering the RBT Task List evidenced by a Certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA
- Have a minimum of two years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services
- Certification as a BCaBA
- Certification as a RBT
- Certification as a BCAT
- Behavioral Health Certification or Behavioral Analysis Certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute
