SUMMARY:
The Children’s Mobile Intervention Services (CMIS) Intervention Specialist works with youth and family who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis and provide crisis intervention, solution-focused interventions, motivational interviewing, behavior management, conflict resolution, and de-escalation techniques for the purpose of identifying, assessing, treating and stabilizing the situation while reducing risk and assessing the safety needs of the youth and family. The Intervention Specialist helps the family develop a risk management/safety plan if they do not already have one. The Intervention Specialist, with the consent and in collaboration with the youth and family, guides the family through the crisis planning process that is in line with the family’s present stage of readiness for change. Services are provided in home, school, and community settings as needed and all required documentation will be maintained. The Intervention Specialist is supervised by the Clinical Team Supervisor.
Qualifications
Overview:
Educational Requirements: Master's degree in Arts/Science with clinical practicum through graduate level program
Experience: 1-2 years in social services, behavioral health, child welfare system or counseling providing services to children/youth
Location: Reed Street
Salary: $55,650 annual salary
Schedule: Day Shift, sometimes can go into evening hours depending on needs of clients
Travel Reimbursement: .65 cents off every mile
