Description

SUMMARY:

The Children’s Mobile Crisis Team (CMCT) Clinical Supervisor oversees the five Mobile Crisis Workers and 2 Family in the CMCT program. The Supervisor will oversee the clinician’s cases and casework with persons served to ensure that quality services are being delivered by staff in compliance with program timelines and clinical guidelines. The Clinical Supervisor will ensure that his/her supervisees have received all necessary orientation and training. He/she will monitor compliance with agency policies and procedures. The Clinical Supervisor will be involved in program development and ensure that positive inter-agency communication is maintained. The Clinical Supervisor will develop positive relationships with staff members and outside agencies. The Clinical supervisor will be available for Crisis Intervention Consultation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and participate with “on call” responsibilities as scheduled.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a mental health discipline, such as clinical psychology, mental health counseling, clinical social work, or other clinically related discipline. The degree must have prepared the student for provision of clinical services via a practicum and internship experience provided in a clinical setting with children and adolescents, with on-site supervision. Online degrees without direct clinical supervision will not be accepted. The degree must have prepared the student for clinical licensure throughout the completion of the Master’s degree program. A minimum of two-year’s post-Master’s experience providing clinical services to children and adolescents is required. A minimum of two-years providing clinical supervision in a child/adolescent child services agency is preferred.

Active Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (with clinical social work degree), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (with experience treating children/adolescents), or Licensed Psychologist, is required.

Location: Reed Street, South Philly

Schedule: 7 am to 11 pm shift

- Saturdays:  In office

- Sundays:  work from home availability 

Salary: $80,000 per year with additional 8-hour shift pick up for regular weekday schedule for 40 hours

Qualifications


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Supervision:

· Directly supervise Mobile Crisis Workers and Family Support Partners.

· Be available for Crisis Intervention Consultation

· Provide a minimum of one hour weekly individual supervision for the Mobile Crisis Workers and Family Support Partners with notes of each session.

· Complete and review performance evaluations for Mobile Crisis Workers and Family Support partners (initially at three months and six months, and annually).

· Complete position alerts/warnings for supervisees as warranted (with approval of Clinical Director).

· Is available to staff to discuss ways of dealing with individual and groups of children, problems of the position, client crises, thoughts on programming staff conflicts, administrative problems and inconsistencies, etc.

· Ensure opportunities for professional growth and development by keeping informed of current trends in treatment and diagnosis in clinical work.

· Ensure that all supervisee personnel files are complete in conjunction with the HR department and Program Director.

· Track and approve vacation days, sick days, personal days, leaves of absence, and other days off for supervisees.

· Update position descriptions and performance evaluations for the positions supervised, in conjunction with the Human Resources Director.

· Arrange proper interpretation services for those persons and families for whom the Bilingual Intervention Specialist does not speak the person’s language.

· Participate with “on call” responsibilities as scheduled.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Person Served Care:

· Monitor the therapeutic modalities utilized by supervisees to ensure appropriate clinical interventions, development of goals, discharging of cases, referrals and recommendations for persons served.

· Via ongoing discussion or other action, assist clinicians with members regarding noncompliance, engagement in the treatment process, discharges, and ensure appropriate follow up.

· Monitor case assignments.

· Collaborate with Clinical Director and other treatment team members to ensure continuity of care for persons served.

· Assist staff members in completing UIRs as needed, complete and follow procedure related to CY47 reports, and complete documentation and progress notes related to involvement in persons served/family’s crises.

· In conjunction with the Clinical Director and the consulting psychiatrist to determine the need for evaluation for possible psychiatric hospital admission.

· Coordinate ensuring Child Line and/or the contracting county Children and Youth agencies are notified of abuse allegations and Unusual Incident Reports.

· Participate with “on call” responsibilities as scheduled.

· Ensure that proper interpreters are available for non-English speaking persons served and their families.

 

Documentation:

· Track and ensure timeliness and clinical appropriateness of the documentation and necessary paperwork related to all case activity of his/her supervisees (such as assessments, CBE/CBR documents, initial treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, Crisis Stabilization Plan; Resiliency Plans; progress and case coordination notes, discharge summaries, aftercare plans, etc.).

· Review the Reportable Incident Reports (RIR) and internal Unusual Incident Reports (UIR),, CY47’s, etc. Managed Care Significant Incident Reports, within one day of receiving them.

· Complete documentation as required using electronic files and mobile office, within required timelines, usually within 24-hours of providing the service.

· Meet all state regulatory, Bethanna, managed care organization, and other requirements for documentation.

· Meet all compliance requirements for documentation accuracy.

Program/System Needs:

· Participate in the development and provision of staff training.

· Participate in the orientation and training of new Clinicians and the continued training of all Clinicians in the department in conjunction with the training department.

· Communicate and implement departmental policies and procedures.

· Provide feedback and suggestions regarding policy development to Clinical Director

· Oversee appropriate caseload assignments in conjunction with the Intake and Referral Social Worker and Clinical Director.

· Help foster a positive atmosphere among staff members.

· Assist in problem solving discrepancies with documentation and billing.

· Actively involved in the planning of department goals and strategies in conjunction with the Clinical Director.

· Initiate work with the Quality Assurance Manager and the Clinical Director program improvement, including development, revision and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.

· Responsible for assigned project for the purposes of clinical program development.

· Participate in activities related to staff development, staff retention and employee discipline and separation.

· Ensure that Bethanna's CMCTS Services Program is in compliance with all state and federal regulations.

· Attend and contribute to agency staff meetings and other meetings as needed.

· Discuss with Director ways of dealing with individuals and groups, programming and staffing concerns, and other issues as necessary.

· Is responsible and accountable to the Clinical Director.

· Communicate effectively with other departments regarding mutual concerns.

· Respond to departmental communication, memos, and requests in a timely and responsible manner.

· Establish and maintain working relationships with other Social Service agencies within the community and represents the program to professional lay groups.

· Maintain open lines of communication and positive relationships with all county officials, office of mental health, children and youth services, and state agencies.

· Attend all mandatory State, County, Managed Care, and Certification trainings required
