Summary
The Lead Teacher provides the children in their classroom the best quality care by maintaining licensing, program evaluations, and health and safety standards. Implements Creative Curriculum and supports all areas of development. Plans, prepares, and implements developmentally appropriate activities and routines daily. Executes a growing and empowering ministry for our BKLC children and families. Has an active relationship with Jesus and supports the BKLC ministry.
Leadership Growth Expectations

- Participate in 24 hours of training opportunities & conferences in a year.
- Participates in any leadership training the Director requests.
Responsibilities
- Support the vision of Bethany Kids Learning Center through ministry to kids from birth to 12 years old.
- Implement Creative Curriculum.
- Maintain quality care by implementing all licensing, Great Start to Quality requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Plan, prepare, and implement developmentally appropriate activities and routines daily.
- Maintain and keep Infant/Toddler and Preschool environments organized and clean(including storage spaces).
- Carry out the vision of BKLC, uphold licensing, quality standards, and health and safety standards.
- Help to implement the employee schedule the Director has created.
- Be willing to cover when other team members are gone.
- Create a monthly newsletter for families.
- Daily communication to families.
- Consistent social media post.
- Provide support and encouragement to all of the BKLC Team.
- Attend meetings hosted by the Director
- Be available to discuss decision matters daily and execute on those decisions.
- Assist with or lead any BKLC projects or events.
- Remain professional at all times.
- Positive attitude.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director.
Performance Measurements
- At least one annual performance evaluation will be performed, along with goals set for the upcoming year.
