Community Relations Liaison Position:
Starting pay from $55,000/yr and up - Full time

At Bethany Hospice and Palliative Care, our Community Relation Liaisons (CRLs) build the network between our company and the patients, families, facilities, physicians, and communities we serve.
The opportunity
Bethany Hospice is seeking a full-time Community Relations Liaison to join our sales and marketing team. Position requires one year of hospice and/or healthcare sales and marketing. Must demonstrate successful history of relationship building with referral sources in the medical community. This unique position will include education for the community about hospice services and one-on-one education to potential hospice patients and their families.
Our CRLs are part of the care team and understand that patient care is always the priority. In the course of any day, you may be asked to:
- Evaluate a patient for hospice appropriateness
- Resolve an issue
- Educate families and referral sources about hospice
- Call on new accounts such as physicians, hospitals and care facilities
- Comfort a grieving family member/facility staff member
- Complete hospice consents with patients/families
- Teach the community about hospice and palliative care
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Nursing, Business Administration or related field. (Preferred)
- One or more years of experience in health care or social service field. (Preferred)
- Previous sales, referral or customer service experience. (Required)
- Ability to market collaboratively and productively with customers, referral sources, and the community.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, computer literate.
- Strong organizational, people and problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed, with the ability to work with little supervision.
- Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
- Compliant with accepted professional standards and practices.
- Ability to perform in an interdisciplinary setting.
- Satisfactory references from employers and professional colleagues. (Required)
- Satisfactory criminal background check. (Required)
- Presentation of negative TB skin test and/or CXR and other tests as required by hospice and/or state law.
- Valid driver’s license and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state law and in good working order for regular out of office appointment activity.
