Bethany Lutheran Home, a beautiful not profit nursing home Council Bluffs, IA, is seeking a Cosmetologist to provide services to our Residents. This is a contracted position with the following requirements:
The Details:
- The hair stylist will manage their own hours of operation, appointments and sales in our fully appointed salon.
- This person is responsible for supplying all beauty products necessary to provide offered services.
- Hours of operation should be consistent
- The Cosmetologist must keep a comprehensive professional liability and public liability insurance policy.
- The Cosmetologist and Bethany Lutheran Home must agree on a schedule of charges for services available to the residents
- This person must be a licensed cosmetologist in the State of Iowa
Responsibilities:
- Greet all residents, family members and employees of the community with a warm, friendly attitude
- Ensure customer needs are identified
- Provide full hair services, experience a must.
- Ensure residents with scheduled appointments receive service in a timely manner
- Complete salon paperwork carefully and efficiently
- Collect payment for services (if applicable)
- Perform limited reception duties
- Maintain safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of work area to include sweeping hair
- Maintain and sanitize hair cutting tools and salon instruments
Experience:
- Hair Styling: 2 year (Preferred)
- working with seniors: 1 year (Preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 5 hours
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch
