What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead/Assistant Teacher/Mom's Day Out position at Bethany Lutheran Preschool?
Bethany Lutheran Preschool is looking to hire a Lead & Assistant Teacher Positions Available for our Moms Day Out program. This is a drop-in based program that runs 2 - 3 days per week.
Lead Teacher Qualifications :
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education.
Child Development Associate Credential. (CDA)
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children.
Requirements :
Be a positive, caring person with enthusiasm for caring for children.
Teach children about the love of Jesus through positive role-modeling, gentle and consistent temperament, and caring relationships.
Develop daily lesson plans based on facility learning objectives and individual needs of children as assessed through the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQs)
Supervise and / or prepare age-appropriate materials for each day’s activities.
Support other staff by being a positive role model and providing guidance when working with each other and children.
Keep written curriculum / activities available for substitutes.
Supervise the management, maintenance, and attendance records of the classroom
Follow positive discipline policies as outlined in the staff manual.
Periodically assess and evaluate the growth and development of each child. Help prepare, serve, and clean up snacks for students.
Serve, supervise and participate in family-style lunch with the children.
Directly supervise children outside.
Keep track of children’s clothing and change diapers as needed.
Administer first aid when necessary, as trained : report all accidents / incidents on appropriate forms.
Keep room neat and orderly; give attention to unassigned areas, such as corridors, staff room, and storage closets. Report any problems to the director.
Maintain open, honest, respectful communications with parents, planning for conferences when necessary, and communicating with parents regarding exceptional behavior, accidents, illnesses, and discipline.
Call the director in a timely manner when ill.
Be punctual.
Have stamina, both physical and emotional, to work with young children.
Display abilities in planning, coordinating and implementing lesson plans.
Demonstrate initiative and competence in working effectively without close supervision.

Assistant Teacher Qualifications :
Minimum of 1-year experience working with children.
Requirements :
