Kitchen Aide – Full-Time (Day Shift) at Bethany Place
Bethany Place is looking for a full-time Kitchen Aide to join our team! This position is for the day shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Friday through Tuesday).
As a Kitchen Aide, you will play a vital role in providing meals for adults with chronic and persistent mental health conditions in our 24/7 residential facility. Our mission is to create a safe, compassionate, and supportive home for our residents while helping them achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in meal preparation under the direction of the Cook
- Serve meals and beverages to residents
- Clean and sanitize dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas
- Ensure proper food storage and temperature recording
- Complete checklists and maintain kitchen cleanliness
- Follow food safety protocols, including proper handling and sanitation
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Washington State Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry food/kitchen equipment
- Must pass a background check and fingerprinting per DSHS guidelines
- Experience with special dietary needs is a plus
Work Environment:
- Clean, well-lit, and ventilated kitchen
- Warm and humid conditions due to cooking activities
