Position Summary:
Manages the Life Enrichment Services in the Bethany Village licensed areas based on a holistic, wellness approach to resident and volunteer activities, following Federal and State guidelines, professionally accepted standards of practice and goals set by the agency, within an established budget. |
Compensation: $45,000 - Increases with years of verifiable relatable work experience
Position Accountability and Performance Criteria:
Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates comprehensive program services for residents in the Licensed Nursing Home and Licensed Residential Care in collaboration with the Life Enrichment Coordinators |
Serves as clinical resource to staff and facility in assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting total resident care. Monitors quality of care and quality of life for residents. |
Monitors overall operations of Life Enrichment Department (e.g., Monthly Summaries, Operations Report, departmental budgets, purchasing, staff assignments, etc.). |
Complies with Administrative policies, Nursing Department policies and procedures, Infection Control guidelines, the Disaster and Fire Plans, as well as the standards and local and state health care regulations |
Acts as an advocate for resident rights by serving as catalyst for their support in the program. |
Develops and/or implements department based quality improvement program. Participates in the Linden House Quality Improvement Program/Committee. |
Oversees the Life Enrichment Department’s documentation and assessments, to include MDS, care plans and CAA’s. |
Oversees the Beauty Salon Manager and Salon services. |
Encourages resident wellness through directed programming and resident engagement. |
Conducts personnel functions (hiring, counseling, evolution and training) for Life Enrichment staff. |
Responsible for welcoming and on-boarding new employees. |
Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization and all federal and state laws regarding the privacy of protected health information |
Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization regarding the use of technology and technology-based information. |
Perform other duties as assigned. |
Position Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Gerontology, Music, Art, Recreation Therapy, or related field. Meet the requirements of or plan in place to meet the requirements of Ohio Administrative Code 3701-17. |
Minimum Experience: Minimum of two years experience in long-term care facility. Two years management experience preferred which includes budgeting, supervision, organizational skills, and time management. Communicates clearly in English, both oral and written; Demonstrates knowledge of the assessment and Care Planning process including MDS, RAPs, and Plan of Care.
