Description:
Plan, organize and direct a program of activities which will provide entertainment, exercise, relaxation, opportunity to express creative talent
Encourage hobbies and provide material and supplies in keeping with resident's financial status and dept budget
Encourage craft ideas among residents and supervise during the activity
Be responsible for safety of resident under supervision
Comply with safety regulations and policies
Responsible for order and appearance of work area
Plan parties, provide games and encourage residents to assist in the planning
Drive bus or van while carrying residents to outside activities
Encourage residents to participate in religious activities
Plan and type the weekly/monthly newsletter and calendar of activities
Attend training and workshops if/when necessary
Encourage residents to attend chapel services regularly
Perform other job functions as instructed by administrator
Attend monthly resident council meetings
Requirements:
Plan activity programs to carry out the objective of the center as part of total care and well-being of residents. Supervision and protection of residents during these activities and compliance with safety regulations and policies should be kept. Use care with supplies and equipment.
