Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Director located in Hampton, VA. The Assistant Director will be responsible for overseeing daily operations at the center, including managing staff, coordinating educational programs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Additional tasks include supporting curriculum development, handling administrative duties, engaging with families, and ensuring a positive and enriching environment for children.
Qualifications
- Experience in staff management and leadership
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of child development and early childhood education
- Administrative and organizational skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a childcare setting
- Ability to engage with families and build positive relationships
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or CDA.
- Previous experience in a childcare or educational environment is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification is required.
