What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bethel Global Response Co-Director position at Bethel Church of Redding?
Bethel Global Response is seeking a passionate and visionary Co-Director to lead and manage the organization alongside another Co-Director. This role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, fundraising, partnership development, and program execution to ensure the organization’s mission is effectively carried out. This role will include overseeing curriculum development and creating and optimizing opportunities for trained Bethel Global Response volunteers. Additionally, this position will provide pastoral care for staff, volunteers, and impacted communities, effectively carrying out the heart and values of Bethel Global Response.
Salary: $26.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight in collaboration with the other Co-Director to fulfill BGR’s mission and goals.
- Develop and implement organizational strategies, policies, and programs to enhance the effectiveness of disaster response and community development initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage staff and volunteers to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and spiritual integrity.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, churches, partner organizations, and governmental agencies to enhance collaboration and expand impact.
- Represent BGR at public events, conferences, and media engagements to raise awareness and advocate for humanitarian causes.
- Respond and minister in the midst of disasters by assisting in coordinating relief efforts and mobilizing resources effectively.
- Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to staff, volunteers, and impacted communities.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with church leaders and faith-based organizations to expand ministry impact.
- Teach and train Bethel Global Response volunteers curriculum that is rooted in the Core Values of Bethel's ministry.
- Strong commitment to the mission, values, and faith-based principles of Bethel Global Response.
- Proven leadership experience in nonprofit management, disaster relief, humanitarian aid, or a related field.
- Experience in fundraising, donor relations, and financial oversight.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural settings and under high-pressure situations.
- Experience managing teams, developing programs, and executing strategic initiatives.
