What are the responsibilities and job description for the ChMS Project Lead position at Bethel Church of Redding?
The Rock Church Management Systems Manager is responsible for the administration, support,
and optimization of the Rock RMS (or other church management software) to support the
operations and ministry needs of the church. This includes managing the software system,
providing technical support and training, integrating with other church systems, and ensuring the
system supports effective ministry engagement and church operations.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: $50,000- $70,000
- System Administration: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and updates of theRock RMS system, ensuring that it runs smoothly and effectively supports the church's operations and ministry programs.
- Support Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to church staff and volunteers, addressing any issues or questions related to the system's functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, database integrity, and integrations.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for church staff and volunteers on using the system effectively. This includes training on areas such as managing member records, event registration, communication, and ministry tracking.
- System Optimization Upgrades: Regularly assess the system to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. Stay up to date on new features and updates within Rock RMS and implement necessary upgrades or configurations.
- Data Management Security: Ensure the integrity and security of data within the system, including member records, financial data, volunteer information, and ministry-related data. Implement necessary backups and security protocols to protect sensitive information.
- Reporting Analytics: Develop custom reports and dashboards to help leadership and ministry teams track key metrics, including membership engagement, giving trends, volunteer involvement, and event participation.
- Integration Customization: Work with third-party applications and services to integrate Rock RMS with other church systems (e.g., accounting software, communication tools, etc.). Customize the platform to meet the specific needs of the church.
- Project Management: Lead or assist in special projects related to system improvements or new feature implementations. Ensure that projects are completed on time and meet the ministry needs.
- Communication: Work closely with the church’s leadership team and department heads to ensure the system supports the strategic goals of the church. Communicate effectively with various ministry teams to understand their needs and provide solutions within the Rock RMS platform.
